We are a flexible full service turnkey operation that can conceive and execute the totality of any creative need or we can offer a la carte partnering in any aspect of conception, production or post-production.

Working Pictures was created in 1990 by husband and wife team Bobby and Sara Sheehan. Since that time Working Pictures has produced dozens of feature length film – narrative and documentary, numerous TV show, interstitials, short films, and a score of TV commercials. The company is well known for it’s hard work and exceptional execution of any job the company undertakes. Some of the notable partnerships are the company’s current commitment to Ovation TV and their evolution of as a true arts producer and broadcaster with such high quality work that even reaches to the White House, creating the media identity for Donna Karan’s healthcare initiative Urban Zen, collaborating with ad agency Chowder to develop an embedded entertainment feature film “Cayman Went,” a wide range of productions for the various Cablevision companies, five seasons of “Repo Men: Stealing for a Living” for TLC and a lifetime commitment to producing anti-drug messaging in conjunction with The Partnership For A Drug-Free America.

Working Pictures owns four high-definition cameras and it’s own grip, lighting and sound equipment.

To keep up with the editorial demands of the production company and the keep the creative bar as high as possible, Working Pictures opened Grenade Editorial in 1996. Grenade Editorial has four fully equipment high-definition edit bays and a 3D graphics room.
Although, Grenade’s primary focus has been the busy slate of Working Pictures work, Grenade has post-produced a slew of independent feature films and TV programming for AMC, EPIX, IFC, Food Network, Ovation and Showtime.

Grenade Editorial also has Robellion, a 3D and compositing effects company with a client list includes: AMC, AT&T, Cascade, Caesars, Crest, Dish Network, Food Network, IFC, Pantene, Showtime, Sprint, Sprite, and Verizon.

My Name Is Nigel Cook

This satirical comedy about the blind ambitions of the independent film world blurs the lines between fiction and reality. Nigel is “almost” intelligent enough to be taken seriously but his lunacy pushes the perspective of how mania pushes one to the brink. Being completely clueless about filmmaking, Nigel attempts to force feed himself cinematic knowledge as he pays his way forward with the Cook family’s fortune.

Mr. Prince

Although the most celebrated figure on Broadway and musical theater, Hal Prince views himself as a workingman with a simple vision of what he wants to produce. The fact that this humble man has 22 Tony Awards and has reinvented musical theater a few time; “Westside Story” in the 1960’s and “Cabaret” and “Sweeny Todd” in the 1970’s and directed “Phantom Of The Opera” the most successful play in history makes this humble man a living legend and a giant amongst his peers. Even more endearing, is the fact that at the age of 80, Hal Prince is still out there trying to get his next play produced.

Repo Men: Stealing For A Living

Best known as Big Pussy from the “Sopranos,” Vincent Pastore hits the rough and tumble road of repossession with some very sorted agents who just barely exist on the right side of the law. The predecessor to “Dog The Bounty Hunter,” Repo Men was the first reality show to be told in the first person and without voice over narrators.

While the outside world may consider her performers to be freaks and midgets, Coralie treats her artists as vaudevillians stuck in an reality TV world. It takes a lot of love to care about performers with actual talent nowadays.

Theater Of War

Theater of War presents readings of Sophocles' Ajax and Philoctetes to military communities across the United States. These ancient plays timelessly and universally depict the psychological and physical wounds inflicted upon warriors by war. By presenting these plays to military audiences, our hope is to de-stigmatize psychological injury and open a safe space for dialogue about the challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their caregivers and families.

This short films follows actors David Strathairn and Bill Camp as they travel to Fort Brag, experience some basic training with troops before their first deployment and captures these intensely emotional readings with veterans learning to cope with post traumatic stress syndrome.
